Our wood comes from high alpine regions

Alpine wood is of a similarly high quality to Nordic wood and offers the same benefits: close annual rings, small and healthy branches, an even texture and a pleasing, bright colour.

At Rema we always invest great effort in ensuring that a significant proportion of the wood required is sourced from domestic forests in our region. The advantages of environmentally friendly timber transportation, and of good and above all speedy availability due to the many sawmills nearby, are of great importance to us. Shorter transport journeys are of immense benefit.

The topographics of our domestic alpine landscape make access to this valuable raw material and to the assortment required disproportionately restrictive. For this reason it is vital Rema purchases in a wide range of areas of the world.
