Selecting the right raw materials creates an ideal quality basis. Slow-growing trunks with good and healthy branch development, an even and attractive fibrous structure and colouration, with tight annual growth rings, form the core of our basic product portfolio. That's why we have developed a very precise preliminary selection process to remove anything that doesn't meet with our high standards.
One essential function in the production of top quality antique cut timber is the steaming process. Our main key to the manufacture of perfect cut timber with an even brown colouration is giving our wood all the time it needs! This saves our customers time at the next stage of use. We also use fresh wood because pre-dried wood is no longer able to draw in the moisture evenly resulting in uneven colouration and marking. We now boast several decades of experience during which we have amassed an immense volume of knowledge in this field.
Best quality raw materials and immense know-how in the field of wood humidification enable us to produce cut wood with an attractive and homogenous colour, little structural tension and only a small proportion of boxwood and resin. We provide our customers with top quality materials exhibiting very few splits and flaws, minimal warping, and boasting immense structural and dimensional stability.
